  • This private-public initiative was created to empower and train entrepreneurs of color from underserved communities across the state of California. Objectives include:

    • To empower and train entrepreneurs of color from underserved communities across California.

    • To provide a 10-week training program in partnership with five SF Bay Area community colleges, focusing on entrepreneurship skills and business development.

    • To offer access to capital and resources, enabling participants to successfully own, operate, and grow small businesses in California.

    • 5 SF Bay Area Community Colleges

    • Faculty Members and Academic Leadership

    • Enrollment pipeline/on-ramp to existing community college business courses

    • Business creation and expansion

    • Access to capital for prepared entrepreneurs

    • Successful marketing and data tracking for all participants

P1 LA RHTCF INITIATIVE

  • This project aims to develop industry-aligned curricula and create a foundation for work-based opportunities. Objectives include:

    • To develop a skilled pipeline of managerial candidates for the Retail, Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary, and Fashion industries in the LA region.

    • To enhance the socioeconomic advancement and career trajectories of participants through targeted training and development.

    • To provide comprehensive training that includes both academic certification and valuable work-based learning experiences for participants.

EBEEP

  • This initiative aims to create innovative and inclusive strategies to prepare workers for success in a fast-evolving economy. Objectives include:

    • Creating a sustainable model for paid internships within California Community Colleges.

    • Aligning education and workforce needs to foster career readiness and economic mobility.

    • Strengthening partnerships between community colleges, workforce boards, and local employers.

    • Creation of a comprehensive playbook to guide internship programs at California Community Colleges.

  • This project supports equitable, sustainable job growth across Kern County through California Jobs First Initiative. Objectives include:

    • Developing and supporting initiatives that generate family-sustaining jobs in priority sectors.

    • Ensuring equity and inclusivity by promoting equitable access to workforce opportunities, prioritizing underserved communities.

    • Streamlining project execution and implementing effective project management strategies to ensure timely progress, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

    • Designing and implementing transparent processes for distributing Catalyst Funds to impactful, high-quality projects that align with regional goals.
