The Los Angeles Retail, Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary, and Fashion project (LA RHTCF) expands workforce development efforts in the Retail, Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary, and Fashion industries by creating industry-aligned certifications, including the First-Time Manager Certificate and Regional Travel and Tourism Certificate. Through enhanced curricula, work-based learning, and collaboration with colleges and industry leaders, the program equips underrepresented workers with the skills needed to advance into managerial roles, fostering career growth and economic resilience.

Purpose

The P2 LA RHTCF Initiative builds on the progress of its initial phase, addressing workforce gaps in the Retail, Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary, and Fashion sectors. This phase focuses on enhancing industry-aligned training, creating new certification opportunities, and strengthening collaboration between colleges and industry stakeholders. Key to this phase is the continued development of the First-Time Manager Certificate and the newly created Regional Travel and Tourism Certificate, providing pathways to family-sustaining careers.
